TMV BUILDCERT APPROVAL

Thermostatic products are an integral part of the Methven and Deva by Methven ranges. For complete peace of mind they maintain a safe water temperature for users and will cut off if the cold water supply fails.

NSF TMV approval is a third party thermostatic valve accreditation programme that is set up to independently test suitability of product against current legislation. Approval at TMV2 standard means the product complies with BS EN 1111/1287 and indicates suitability for use in the domestic home whilst approval at TMV3 meets NHS D 08 and indicates suitability for commercial installations such as care homes and hospitals.

Methven are proud to offer products in our portfolio which adhere to these standards having undergone the initial rigorous testing procedure and on-going audit requirements. We advocate continuous in-service testing at regular intervals to ensure there has been no temperature change ensuring maximum safety standards.

BATHROOM MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION (BMA)

Methven UK are members of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association. They ensure the industry has a recognised voice with UK government, industry regulators and European standards bodies. The BMA provide an authoritative voice for the industry on all matters affecting manufacturing and supply.

WRAS APPROVED

The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) represents more than twenty water companies and:

• Coordinates consistent advice
• Promotes the water regulations
• Offers advice to industry and consumers
• Maintains directory of approved products.

Products are tested against various requirements, grouped by:

• Mechanical tests (against TCS’)
• Material / hygienic tests (against BS 6920)

Methven are strong supporters of WRAS approved products and off er a comprehensive portfolio of both Deva and Methven products which adhere to, and are approved to the stringent standards.

KIWA

The Kiwa UK Regulation 4 Product Approval Scheme (KUKreg4) is a robust method for demonstrating compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

The regulations set legal requirements for the design, installation, operation and maintenance of water fittings, systems and appliances, specifically in order to prevent the contamination of drinking water as well as preventing misuse, waste, undue consumption and erroneous measurement.
